Scaffolding part 1: System scaffolder

Description: Attendees: Delegates must hold a valid CISRS Trainee or scaffolder labourers card for a minimum of 6 months. Delegate must also have minimum of 6 months practical experience of scaffolding operations e.g. labouring, carrying our simple scaffolding operations under the direct supervision of a qualified scaffolder Objective: This course is designed for delegates who are wanting to progress in becoming a scaffolder, the course aims to give the core skills to safely erect, alter and dismantling of basic scaffold structures. Improve your knowledge and understanding of Health & Safety, regulations and theory behind using tube and fitting scaffolds. Content: Health & Safety Awareness Fall Prevention Training (SG4) Performance Standards (BS EN 12810/11 and TG20:13) General Scaffolding Awareness Stability, Ties and Anchors (including TG4) Manual Handling Techniques (including SG6) Foundations & Ground Conditions Methods of Access Gin wheels, ropes, knots & hitches Interpretation of drawings Independent Tied Scaffold (theory & practical) Putlog Scaffold (theory and practical) tube and fitting courses Static Tower Scaffolds (theory & practical) Birdcage scaffolds (theory & practical) Alterations to scaffolds (e.g. hop-up bracket movement) system scaffold courses Alterations to scaffolds (e.g. changing a lift height) TG20 Stair Access (theory & practical) Mobile Aluminium Tower Training for Scaffolders (MATS) Scaffold Inspection (theory) 50 Question Test Paper (plus a 25 question mock at the end of the first week) Practical Test Certification: Successful delegates will receive a CISRS Certificate, and can apply for their current CISRS card to be endorsed with the CISRS Part 1 scaffolding training. Progression: Delegates must complete 6 months on site experience to enable them to progress to Scaffolding 10 day Part 2 training course and Level 2 NVQ in Access & Rigging operations.
