Purpose / Scope: The purpose of Temporary works coordinator – refresher course is for delegates who have previously passed the full Temporary works coordinator course or subsequent refresher course and can provide proof of attendance.

Occupation: Health Safety and Environment
|
|
Candidate Prerequisites: There are no delegate pre-requisites as part of this standard, however a basic knowledge of health and safety legislation that are common to temporary works is recommended.
|
|
Instruction / Supervision: As a minimum, course trainers must be able to demonstrate that, in relation to this standard, they have:
•an award in education and training (or equivalent, as per requirements for approved training organisations)
•successfully completed training to this standard
•at least 2 years relevant experience in temporary works
•a verifiable CV that demonstrates relevant practical and design experience of temporary works (such as falsework, formwork, access and protection).

Delivery: All materials and equipment must be of a suitable quality and quantity for delegates to achieve learning outcomes and must comply with relevant legislation.
The minimum number of delegates per course is four. The maximum number of delegates per course is 20. These minimum and maximum learner numbers are not subject to an appeal.
A publication to support the training must be made available to each delegate to use throughout and to keep for reference.
The following delivery methods may be used in the delivery of this standard:
•face to face learning environment only (such as classroom/workshop etc.)
•amend as per full standard
This standard is 100% theoretical training.
This standard is considered to be set at an intermediate level

Assessment: For the successful completion of training, delegates must complete an end of course assessment that measures all learning outcomes and has a pass or fail criteria.
